Spring is most definitely in the air, and our current menus celebrate the fabulous new local produce that is available to us. We are surrounded by farmers and producers in Dorset, Devon and Somerset who are determined to provide the very highest quality in both traditional, and more unusual, ingredients. New flavours recently added to our menus include rhubarb, asparagus, wild garlic and, most intriguingly, gulls eggs!
The lunch menu, which is served in our beautiful Orangery or on the garden terrace, includes such dishes as Brixham Crab and Roasted Vegetables Linguine, River Exe Moules et Frites, Trill Farm organic mixed leaf salad and West Country Beef Burger. A traditional two or three course Sunday Roast is served every week, using local produce such as award winning Dorset farm lamb and Somerset’s Exmoor Park Beef. For dinner, you might choose Pan Fried Lyme Bay Scallops or Flame Grilled Sirloin of Lower Stockham Farm – 21 Days Aged, all finished off with a selection of West Country cheeses.
Even our wines offer locally sourced options, including the multi international award winning Furleigh Estate still and sparkling wines from their nearby vineyards in West Dorset.
We are thrilled to have once again received GOLD from Taste Of The West in the Restaurant category of their awards 2018/19. Judges commented, “What a lovely restaurant, the atmosphere and ambience was perfect! We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience and great value for money.” Congratulations to our brilliant team on this tremendous achievement.
