The Alexandra sponsors The Hub Youth Club in Lyme Regis

We are delighted to announce that the award winning Alexandra has teamed up with The Hub Youth Club in Lyme Regis to sponsor the facility on a monthly basis during 2019. The Hub is part of Lyme Regis Development Trust (LRDT), a 20 year old charity and community business. LRDT has a great track record in helping make the most of places and spaces for the Lyme Regis community, and through these, helping to develop local individuals and businesses to realise their potential. The Hub provides a range of places to go, things to do and someone to talk to, in confidence, for young people aged from 8 years, and in addition is a great venue for residential accommodation for large groups who want to stay in Lyme Regis, next to the sea and on the Jurassic Coast.

Alexandra Owner/Director, Kathryn Haskins, says, ‘It’s such a wonderful organisation and the space they provide for young people in the town is of such great importance. We hope to help not only financially, but also by facilitating those interested in working in the hospitality industry by offering training and opportunities. The hospitality industry has such huge scope for travel and amazing opportunities for young people we are thrilled to work with youth club and those that may be interested in this industry.’ Diane Earle, manager of The Hub, adds, ‘Having monthly financial support from The Alexandra Hotel & Restaurant for work at The Hub youth club is key to keeping the sessions open and staffed by our professional youth workers and is very much appreciated.’
